Got a cab/front clip with clear title and would like to put on newer chassis with diesel engine. Maybe 92-97 F700 or F800, with a 5.9 cummins. anybody have experience with chassis/body interchanging with the Ford medium duty trucks?
I was just thinking if you went with a F-350 with a diesel engine, you
could leave the fenders as they are and tires will fit. A F-350 should
be heavy enough since lots of car haulers use that size. I am mounting a 56 Mercury m-700 cabover on a F-350 with 460 efi and c-6 and making a car hauler. Seems like trying to widen the fenders or having tires hanging out isn't the way to go.
