I bought a 85 F350 box truck and the trans went in a month so i bought a used 1 with 30 day warenty it shifted at higher rpms from start so i changed my way of driving all was great about 2 weeks after the warenty went out it started to get hard only in the morning to put in gear i put in gear and it took 1min of more to go into gear ONLY IN THE MORNING once it went into gear it was good for day now 4 weeks later its doing it when it sits more then 4 hour oges in reverse great shifts great when moving but stiil need to bring it up to 2200 rpms for 1 to 1.5 min to get going when u first start it up
hey just a note ive put in some trans medic and it hasnt had that problem since the container looks like a quart of oil "grey" im not sure of the name but it cost me about $8 for the quart and has worked fine so im figuring the seals were hard as stuart said above and the medic fixed it for now but its been more than a year
