Fuel Filters

Question: How many fuel filters do the 7.3 liter diesels have? I can only find one and my brother is telling me there is another one back by the tank. Is this true? I can't seem to find it if there is.

No your bro is thinking of a 6.0 or the fuel pump itself. You only have the one under the plastic cover that says Powerstroke on it.

That is what I was explaining to him but somehow he has it in his head that there are two fuel filters on the 7.3 liter. Thanks for the reply.

Only one 2micron engine mounted filter...then u have big junk screens in tank sending unit.

He may have read about the filter/screen in the mixing chamber inside the tank.
It is there but most don't consider it a service item unless you have major fuel related
problems.
