Well if it doesnt blow the fuse with the trailer hooked up and does when it is...and you know for sure it is not the trailer then I would assume you have some wires crossed in your wiring harness. If it is a Factory installed system andstill under warranty I would give it to the dealer and let them figure it out.
I had a 92 f-250 do the same thing, ended up being a wire the rubbed on the steering column every left turn, the insulation wore off and the bare wire shorted out. After replacing a section of wire and routing it away from steering it was fixed. Hope yours may be something easy like this instead of some complicated wire trouble shooting
Problem still exist............dealer couldnt figure anything out..........anyone else have any suggestions.
also, with out the trailer hooked up it does not blow the fuse with left turn. only when trailer is attached.....but why would the trailer work fine on another truck and not blow any fuses there???
Trailer places sell a tester that plugs into the connector on your truck. The indicator lights will tell you what is happen with the trucks output to the trailer.
