393 stroker problem

For a while i have had a problem of excessive blowby on the 393. After doing a compression test cyls 5 and 7 have 95 psi and the rest have 210. I just pulled the cyl head off and noticed what looked like water spots on the cyl wall of cyl 5, the piston was all the way up on 7 so i didn't even check that one. But this is what it looks like, sorry for the bad pic.

any Ideas?

pic isnt available. you may have had a gasket blow internally. ive seen them go that way vs out the side which of course is more noticable. how did the rest of the gaskets look on the lower intake to head surface etc... what was the block bored to, any port work on the heads?

I'd bet on the head gasket. I can see antifreeze in the picture. The only places that antifreeze can get into the cylinder are from a headgasket, cracked cylinder head or cracked cylinder wall. If the heads aren't ported and new, then not very likely. I don't see any obvious cracks in the cylinder wall either. You can always have the head checked at a machine shop for leaks. If nothing shows up, it was most likely the head gasket. Replace and try again.

The antifreeze is from when i pulled the head off. The spots on the cylinder wall are aluminum deposits, from the 12:1 compression this engine was seeing. Time for a hone and some 17cc dish pistons...
