What year is the truck, and which engine?

P1780 - Transmission Control Switch Out of Self-Test Range

During KOER self-test the TCS has to be cycled, if not cycled a DTC is set.

Possible causes:

l TCS circuit short or open
l Damaged TCS switch
l Damaged PCM

The Transmission Control Switch is the button at the end of the shift lever on the steering column.
