61 econoline van....again
Hey everyone! Thanks for the vin ? answer, every little bit helps. I have another question for someone out there. I have noticed that almost all of the other vans like mine out there have 6 doors. Mine has 8. Does that mean anything in terms of rarity or anything?

YES, the 8 door vans are rare. Even rarer were the vans with no side doors. The doors were optional and cheap buyers or buyers familiar with the old panel trucks didn't opt for the side doors. I have been associated with about 3 of the 8-doors. All three were retired fire vehicles. I even have a very rare 4 speed on the column for one of those trucks. We removed it from a Falcon van. I have the column, shift tubes, linkages, and transmission. It is even rarer than the automatic transmission.
