Iam planning to change my oil in my 2002 V10. whats a good brand of oil whithout spending a small fortune? Also, what grade of oil do I use? I have 60,000 miles on the truck. I bought it last year but always had it changed somewhere else. Any tips or suggestions would be helpful. THANKS!!!

 

My 2001 uses 5W20...

I have used both the Motorcraft 5W20 which Wally World sells, and the Mobil 1 synthetic stuff. My motor uses about a quart in 5,000 miles (currently at 50,000 miles) and I tend to put the cheaper Motorcraft stuff in it.

i have 79000 on my 01 excursion V10. never used any oil. i use mobil 1 and the mobil 1 oil filter, 6000 between changes. oil still looks new when i do change it.
