key chime when wet
My bronco's key chime always goes off when its raining or going through a car wash. Has anyone else had this problem? I assume its electrical in nature having to do with either the light or door switches.

You are getting water in an electrical connection that is shorting the contacts together and making the chim go off. Door switches are the most likely culpirt but depending on the model year of your Bronco, the chime module has up to seven different triggers. How bad are the rain gutter cracks in the "B" posts? These can often allow water to wick down the inside of the posts which is where the door switches are mounted.

The cracks are sealed right now but the water intrusion seems to be from underneathe. The door jamb switch at B pillar is not working, a test with a multimeter shows its dead so it cant be that one. A short with water makes sense, the battery looses its charge too.
