Where is the link on the how-to and about page for this CCV Mod, I would like to learn about what it does.

I believe Guzzle has a good write-up on it along with pics in his gallery.

I have sold well above 50 of these and never a leak or any other problem. I truly feel this is the best way to clear up your intake. Many that have done the exhaust method have noticed that this caused backpressure on the crankcase and caused leaks.

Just like anything, the details are very important. When welding the stinger into the exhaust you must have the end of the stinger cut at a 45* angle facing correctly and then the whole stinger must be at a 45* angle to the exhaust pipe. After I had mine welded in and before attaching the hose there is virtually no exhaust gas coming out of the stinger. There should be a slight vacuum if it's installed correctly. The important thing is to not create any type of restriction which will cause a back pressure in the crankcase as NChornet says. His collector apparently is well designed to not cause a restriction, hence in both cases....no leaks

Marty has it exactly right, there can be no restriction = free flowing. That is why using the correct filter media is very important.

I am intresting in your CCV set up NChornet. How can I find out more about it? I have tried the exhaust thing and even with the 45deg cut I can still feel exhaust coming out of the stinnger so I think there would be to much back pressure.

WHOAAA.....

I would recommend NOT inserting the CCV into the exhaust system. Gene did a lot of testing on this, and even with a 45° mitered install there are times when the exhaust system will actually pressurize the crankcase when they are connected like that. I'll try to find the thread where this was discussed at length, ad nauseum.

EDIT.... Here's the thread that was started by JTHarvey, who confirmed what I mentioned above.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...-pressure.html

As for bugs nests, it might be likely on a truck that is not driven often. For my own daily driver (in sig), this has not been an issue in north central Alabama, and we do have plenty of nest-building bugs around here.

Personally, I would trim the length of the hose up a little higher and do the angled cut like was suggested earlier. Here's a pic of how mine hangs right beside the spare tire at the back of my fuel tank.

Mine hangs like the picture above. I was thinking of putting a screen on it to prevent anything from getting in. I hadn't worried about it for the past 5 years since I was driving it daily. Now that I don't drive it to often I think I may revisit the idea.

If you live in a cold climate I would be wary of sags or dips in the hose. I froze mine last winter and caused an oil leak. So I cut it off at the cab and the leak went away.
