Right now I have a 1978 model 302 in my truck right now hooked to a FMX trans. I just bought a newly built FMX trans and now I need to rid myself of this old and tired 302. I want to go with a 390 but need to know of the motormount setup. What will I need to change?

if your tranny is not already an f e bellhousing, you will have to change that. you will have to get motor stands from a six cylinder, or an f e truck.

Thanks for the response. I just bought a new FMX transmission that has the FE bellhousing on it so I am set there.

I was more wondering about the motor stands.

You just need to get thge motor stands for an FE motor through 75 I believe. If you ae thinking about installing PS later than try and find the driver side stand from a 73-75 PS truck because they are different than the 65-72 non PS stand.
