My membership ran out a little while back. Once I saw the ads I signed up for a three year membership quick. The ads are not my main reason for being a supporter but I probably would have waited a day or two if they were not their. I think FTE is worth every penny it takes to support it plus some.

again, i'm not advocating for or against supporter status. this is some of my reasoning for me doing it. i went back to my very 1st post. a question about brake lines. i called a local shop friday and asked them for a price to do the job i did myself after i joined. $650 for all the lines replaced.(the thiefs) all 4 wheels. from what i got here, i did it for $140 in my yard. it wasn't fun but i didn't have the cash due to Nans treatments. out of the $509 saved, the $16 seemed like money well spent.

Well I finally did it. I'm putting a new stereo in my truck and it didn't come with factory door speakers. I didn't know where to run the wires where they wouldn't get destroyed. Usually last me a year or so. I went in and did a forum search on door speaker wire location and sure enough there was a thread on that exact topic a few months ago. This place has everything. That convinced me to be a supporter. Might as well give a little back after all this place has helped me out so much.

i just noticed this thread and im not ashamed to say why i am not a supporter yet. after 4 years navy and makeing close to 25 and hour then a year ago getting out and not being able to find a job in my area for more then 9 a hour the finances arent there. i cuurently work at mcdonalds as i was planning to go to school and my gi bill would have picked up the missed income. well my school lost its accredidation so i lost all my grants. there for im in the hunt for a job that pays me more then 150 every two weeks. it was my plan to become a supporter due to the wealth of info everyoone has givven me and then some. i love the fact that it brings so many people from all over the world to almost a family. so as soon as i find a better job this site will be getting my support.

sorry its so long but i wanted to share how i felt and why i havent to this point and thats what i love about this place you can do that and people understand and usually dont judge.

Silly boy.

It's super cool to see all the supporters sharing their reasons why. Only about 3 replying non members though.

Darn. Maybe they're all busy purchasing their memberships AS WE SPEAK!!

a girl can dream....
No need to dream...you shamed me into it!
I've been a supporter in the past...let it lapse and just hadn't recommitted...so now I'm good for another 3 years and it's about time for a new FTE shirt. Every time my wife washes my other one...it just gets a little snugger...yeah...that's it...it's all HER fault

No, Tony, no judging here.
it makes a ton of sense... when money's tight you have to maintain priorities.

Details to become a supporter

How does one become a supporter?
what are the requirements and money factor?
who do we email?
I would like the condensed version of the benefits to becoming a supporter.
Not to be picky, I just want some info.
thanks khadma.

Supporter either way, $45.99 gets you three years and a T-shirt, (cool to wear at the GTGers.)
