Hi everyone. I have a question about replacing my carb(Motorcraft 2100, rebuilt by Holley). I have a 65 f100, 352 w/C6. I've been having a problem with running very rich and the unit leaking, so I decided to have the carb replaced under warranty. I didn't put the original carb in, but it is still covered. Well I got the new one today, but now I have to wait for the dashpot to come in. Is there any thing I need to be aware of before I bolt it back in, and once I do, how do I adjust or tume it properly. Any tips will be greatly appreciatted. As always, thanks for all the help and advice.
Not really, just make sure to use a new mounting gasket.
The only adjustments you should have to make would be the air/fuel mixture and idle speed. They a/f mixture is fairly easy to adjust, just turn the mixture screws in until the idle starts to slow down and get rough, then back them out until you get the highest, smoothest idle. This will be pretty close to where you need to be.
Thanks lxman. I got the carb back in. Only had to make a few adjustments, and now she purrs. This has to be the best thing thats happened to me in the last 3 months. Thanks again, Jay
