Unhappy Can't find the keys!

So i come home from the Army on leave for some quality R&R @ my dad's place. I should probably mention it's a town so small we aren't even on a map in the middle of VA.
He had to go off to PA for a couple days and left me his F250 to get around in.
SOMEHOW the keys disappeared this morning... of course I need to go to Wal Mart today.....

Does anyone have anyidea how to start up a 1997 F250 in a way that won't destroy it (like not hotwiring it)?
HELP!

If you have a ford dealership nearby, then they can cut you a key from the VIN#. You will probably have to bring proof of ownership...should probably call first and see what exactly they need

take the door lock out of the car and get a key made at the locksmith.

you may be able to use the glovebox lock.

look in owners manual and other papers that came with the truck for key numbers.

If you have a chiltons manual, you can probably figure out a way around it with a wiring diagram, but you said you don't want to hotwire it.

You can also have one of those mobile locksmiths come out and make you a key, but it will cost you.

that won't work...not all the cuts are in the door lock for that year vehicle...

Wink

Bronco Chick is right, my 97 C.C. has 2 keys, one for doors, one for ignition. Boosting it will likely cause Dad issues when you're gone. Walking is an option.
