Wal-Mart Fuel...

how is it? do any of you guys run it? the reason im asking is their gas smells horrible and my 76 f-250 will barely run on their 87. right now im using shell's diesel, it is about 10 cents more than wal-marts. i am new to diesels, is all the fuel the same?

I run it all the time too. I just switched with this tank to Diamond Shamrock because it was 15c cheaper.

My last tank of WM fuel got me ~19MPG though. No complaints there.

Ive used it without problems. However, somebody told me try to avoid fuels with more ethanol, as it hurts your fuel economy. He pointed out more then 10 % can have an effect. Problem is seems all stations use that now and say may contain up-to 10 %.

Just my .02

I live 60 miles from Houston. During certain months, Harris County and any county that touches it MUST use an alcohol blended fuel. No matter whom refines or blends the fuel, alcohol won't get the same mileage as straight gas.

Now, my county is not required to use blended fuel. Some stations have a blend and some don't. Wal-Mart does. You will have to do the math to figure the best cost wise deal.

Here is another thing to consider. Just because you use brand XYZ fuel, don't think for even a second that it comes from XYZ refinery. It does not. Nope.

I run it about 98% of the time, and I haven't had any problems.
