I just bought a 65 ford parts truck that has a very nice rad and rad support. Now I am faced with a choice, do I use the factory 3 core rad to cool my 460 or retro fit a 3 core cross flow rad that I have any Ideas, suggestions would greatly be apprecitated Thanks Eric
Hi again, Eric. I had a fourth row added to my '66 rad when it failed, as I had ideas about towing a trailer. It has proven to be way more radiator than the 390 needs. (I'd be guessing if I said you'd get the same result with your 460.) If you have a fourth row added to the stocker, be careful with the hood latch.

Thanks Guys, One reason I am asking this now is I have the rad support and inner fender liners apart, and I am in the process of sand blasting and painting them so this would be the time to either modify the rad support for the cross flow or leave it stock. It is a very big rad so I think I will use the factory rad Eric
