Since aluminum expands faster than iron heat will make it worse.

WD-40 is mostly Stoddard's Solvent which can be good for certain things??
I've had the best luck loosening stuff up with carburetor cleaner.
Tell that to the guys at a wrecking yard and they'll usually respond with "antifreeze ". Never tried it tho. :/

My dad used, used brake fluid, I only use it for paint remover but lately, the paint is different or the brake fluid is different, it hasn't been working so good for paint remover. Got any ideas on that?
I think the problem is other than two surfaces being "stuck" together. On my 74 F250 390 it would happen where I would go to adjust the timing and the distributor would not move at all. I would drive it and check again and it would move easy. Then I would drive it again and it would become stuck. And on and on. Who knows really.
