Oil Analysis how to ?

Ok jusy got my fist kit from Blackstone, and thier instructions state to get a sample from the middle of a drain, or up a pump if not ready for an oil change.

Is there any other wasy besides a pump to get a sample if my truck is not ready for an oil change. I have around 2300 on my current oil.

Thanks
Rich

It might cost you a quart of oil, but you might have to pull the plug let a bit of oil drain, take your sample, then put the plug back in. A fumoto (I think that's it) drain valve would help in taking samples in the future.

I use a oil suction pump i got from an Auto parts store and added enough smaller plastic line to suck oil from the dipstick
port.

Make sure the oil is hot too. You drive it before taking a sample.
