Oil Analysis how to ?
Ok jusy got my fist kit from Blackstone, and thier instructions state to get a sample from the middle of a drain, or up a pump if not ready for an oil change.
Is there any other wasy besides a pump to get a sample if my truck is not ready for an oil change. I have around 2300 on my current oil. Thanks Rich |
It might cost you a quart of oil, but you might have to pull the plug let a bit of oil drain, take your sample, then put the plug back in. A fumoto (I think that's it) drain valve would help in taking samples in the future.

I agree check this link. www.fumotovalve.com
I've used this very handy lttle gadget on every car & truck that i've owned for the past 30 years. |
I use a oil suction pump i got from an Auto parts store and added enough smaller plastic line to suck oil from the dipstick
port. Nut |
Make sure the oil is hot too. You drive it before taking a sample.
