Yeah, I'll check the VSS this weekend, as well as the knuckles. The guy I bought is from said he changes the pinion sleeve about 10K ago cause it was wearing and leaking. Either way I'll find the damn demon and fix it. Hell, if I can fix a $12 million Cobra helicopter, I'm not gonna let a truck whoop my *** LOL.
Oh yeah they are hehe, and I figure for both type airframes I work on (Hueys and Cobras) there are about 20 different 3" binders, and that's just what is airframe and hydraulic specific! I prefer Chiltons any day LOL.
Sorry Mongo if we hijack your thread. My next question builds on his. Is the sensitivity mentioned above and the VSS one in the same?? In other words if I replace the VSS will address the sensitity issue or is it in the computer? It does it in stock and with my tuner installed. I am heading to Anchorage here in the next couple of weeks to pick up scalfolding so I'll utilize the brakes prior to getting into town to see if I can get the pesky light back on while at the dealer.
krewat - Yes I do have the intergrated brake controller.
Any reason why the ABS light would come on? 99 350 CC Diesel dually- I can't read a code with my Diablosport tuner, is this something I gotta take to the dealership? I don't drive too stupid, but I do drive in New York City, do bad roads keep this damn light on? I don't have any trouble stopping.
You'll still have all the brakes with the ABS light on. You won't have the antilock protection however. I've heard that it take a special code reader to check out Ford's ABS system.

I assume the trailer wiring is correct. I think there's about 6 sensors, one on each wheel, the master cyl & diff. I'd have the codes read if possible, With that new a truck I'd have the dealer figure out which ones' the problem. You might have a code stored even if the ABS Light is off when you get there.
Ah looks like our turners might not be reading the codes mongo. My next time I am in town I'll stop by and see if they can read for codes. Yep my trailer's (3) are wired right. Never had this issue with my 04 F350. Not really to concern safety wise. I rather have my ABS disconnected in the winter months due to ice anyway but I dont tow as much then. The only real inconvience is I do not have Cruise Control when the ABS light is on.
