Well after a few months of letting the 54 sit and be alone in my garage, this weekend I finally managed to get back in the groove of things. Even though it was 103 degrees in the garage I was able to get the doors to the point where I can shoot them with primer. I had been going walnuts to the wall for the last 6 months until the family decided they didnt know who I was anymore. I was just the dirty guy that was always in the garage, no longer Dad.So I think I have found a way to do both. Lets see how it works.
That's the way it seems to go on my truck too. I'll work on it hot & heavy for a few weels and then it might be a week or two before I even get to look at it again. Glad to hear you're working on it and keeping the family happy too. My better half wants me to finish the 53 because she loves going to the shows as much as I do.
Matt,
I think we all go through the same series of "fits and spurts". Glad to hear you found a way to balance it all out and are making progress again.
Ditto. It has been so hot in my garage, that I have done little over the last month or so. I can only work on the truck weekends between dawn and about 10:00 AM. Then back inside the house for me.
Its been hot here to, but thats not whats stopped me from working on my truck. My wife is a school teacher and has summers off. That means she gets these wild "home improvement" ideas in her head that I have to finish. My time has been spent scraping off popcorn texture from the ceilings, painting, installing flooring, new windows, etc, etc, etc.........
..........I can hardly wait for school to start so I can get back to work on my truck
