ABS Module noise
Ok I found out what is making the noise before I start my truck. It is the ABS module or regulator. In my 2001 F250 PSD it is located directly in front of the driver’s side battery. A mechanic told me they are in different place in various trucks. He heard the noise and said it was just the ABS going through its start up. I have a few friends with the same truck, but they don't hear this noise. If it is normal I'd like to ask how many of you here this? Perhaps mine is just louder than normal, but it can be heard clearly from inside the cab during the start up cycle.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

The brakes work fine, but I have not tried a panic stop. I'll give that a try. I would be inclined to think something may be wrong as well. The guy who looked at it was a Ford mechanic who just got diesel certified. He just looked at it in the parking lot of our ball game last night, but said it was normal. Anyone out there ever heard this on their PSD???
