I am looking for a better Clock Spring Wiring Diagram than is in the Haynes Manual. Does anyone know what voltages I should see on the 5 wires?
I have a 1996 E150 that I lost Cruise Control on, but the Horn Still works.
Are there any tricks to pulling the Clock Spring? The manual says to pull the steering wheel (easy), but the ignition step was not clear to me. Can anyone clarify?
I have had mine out in my 92 - I'm not sure if it is the same. I had to turn the key to the "ON" position, use a small stiff wire and feed it into a small hole in the trim on the bottom side of the steering column just about 1-1/2" from the end of the ignition switch. Push up on the wire to hold the spring loaded button in, then pull out on the ignition tumbler and it will pop right out. Clear as mud?
