Lightbulb Any updates on your projects?

Anybody doing anything on their trucks? I changed my beatup tailgate on the 69 F100 tonite from one of the parts trucks, nice to have a straight one that is solid and closes so well.
Also took the Model T out for a quick spin and got caught in a light shower, nothing too serious though and never got too wet.
Other than that it`s trying to beat the heat and the high humidity......

I parked the Explorer in the garage due to some fuel pump issues and have been driving my old Bronco II which is a refreshing change. It gets a lot better mileage than the Explorer and I forgot how easy it was to manouver.I had previously replaced the Ford feedback 2 bbl carb and TFI distributor with a small Holley 2 bbl carb and Duraspark distributor using a GM HEI module and it made a huge difference. After I get the fuel pump fixed on the Explorer I am going to do some bodywork on the Bronco II and throw some new paint on.I picked up a couple of nice fenders out at Buck's and a nice rear bumper so I am part way there.

Blasted and painted my new intake on the weekend, still waiting for my carb before I install it though.

Re:

1963 Galaxie:
Missed last SIR race, re-degreed cam twice, played with carb jetting and MSD timing curve, installed amp and subwoofers, changed engine oil, installed Detriot locker and Moser axles, re-worked exhaust to hang and look better.

1952 Ford F-1:
Been driving it more now that the weather is nice. Want to change oil and use Shell Rotella instead of straight 30w.

**AND** to top all that excitement, I picked up a '72 Ford F-100. 302 2v, C4. Changed ignition over to a Pertronix unit I had for the Galaxie's old 352. New plug wires and coil. Havn't done much as the Galaxie is taking priority with the spending.

The 390 in the Galaxie is pretty much pushed to the limit on horsepower, about 450... been thinking of selling it and building up a 460 to make around 550hp... anyone want to buy a really hot 390? lol

I haven't been working on the truck too much lately but I needed to update my gallery with some new pics.

I've gotten the fuel injection parts bolted up and I've modified them wiring harness.

Here's my custom Ford column using a '78 F-250 and a swather roller tube with one swather bearing. This isn't the final colour though.

I have transfered some parts from my wrecked Goldwing to my driver such as floor boards, seat, front tire, electronic ignition and a few other parts. On the PSD I bought a used tool box at an auction for $20.00 painted it up and put it on the truck and it actually looks good. I also built a bed cover, I used some aluminum 3/4' angle and a sheet of 3/4" plywood I want to cover the plywood with some vinyl to dress it up a bit. I will post some pictures when I get it finished. Also, dad and I have torn down the motor in a 1100 Massey and are in the process of rebuilding it. He wants to put a front end loader on it. Man was that motor siezed up tight. We had a heck of time getting the pistons free and looks like we have to replace to liners but everything else looks really good.

Got and painted a new power brake booster for my 85. Installed it last Thursday. After that the truck almost stalls while running. Had to tweak the idle up. Old booster was leaking. HHIIISSSSS. One vacuum leak taken care of. Next is to replace the exhaust manifold. It is warped on my 300.

Finally got the cab corners and all the junk the previous owner had screwed up on the rat rod fixed up. Picked up a gallon of flat black tremclad and some mineral spirits to thin it and sprayed three coats over all of it, there is some spots that you can see the bare metal under so I will have to scuff it all over and paint again. Think it will wait until I have all the body work ready.

Starting to shape some metal to cover up were I had to cut out holes on the front fenders so the top hat of the mustang II suspension would fit. Next is engine.

Still waiting for a Gas tank for fomoko's bike from eBay about a month ago...starting to get a bit nervous. Plan to paint it and the rest of the bike if it ever shows up.
