Trail disaster!
cutts, how short is the short 205 adapter???
I have one, but it's about 8 3/4" long.
Just curious, do you think the 203 adapter would work fine?
Either way, I'm going to need a short adapter(some time in the near future), and it'd be great if I could get one from either you or monsterbaby. Hope fully I don't need the tailshaft, b/c it'd be to much work for me.
Unless I change tail shafts, I don't think a inch will help much....
If you get a chance, and don't mind I'd like to know the measurement on the short 205 adapter.
Thanks for all the help so far.
I may need the shaft also, it would give me the excuse to rebuild the trans.
Chris
yea it's for a C6. if MBB cant use it then it's yours.... all it's doing is taking up space and it'd be one less thing i'd have to move when the time comes.i would be happy to measure it... i'll post up the measurements as soon as i find a tape, get off my ****, and go downstairs and dig it out.
-cutts-
Course, I don't know how to post picks.

One I did not try to get it ahead of you.
Two I asked a question about it and said I need one also.
Three I see MBBFord asking about the adapter, not Fordchic86. Who are you?
Four I will not be petty like you and post negative rep points to you.
That is all.
brokebronco, looks like both of us should be able to get one.
I want to say monsterbaby has one lying around too.

On the axle, around the spring pad, if coil spring, up through the middle.
Your bump stops should prevent the cable from getting mashed on
compression if using coils.
On the frame I might use a 1/2" bolt, with a 1/2" washer and
then 3/4" washer under that squishing the "loop" of the cable
to the frame. I use alloy washers so they are pretty tough.

Yea, I was pyched when I bought my 4x4 van and went to change the fluid
and saw the PO had welded one in, so I did not have too. BTW: Do not use
the rubber plug type drains, they are okay on fleet vehicles, but, stink
on normal 4x4s because they leak and are too easy to remove. The drill a
hole and compression ring type works okay.

The name escapes me at the moment, we can call it "eyelet", here is what I do with threaded rod. I get these at my local arborists supply (better threaded rod), but, you can buy it at Home Depot too I imagine. The good thing is you can get the "eyelet" the same thread size as the threads on leaf spring bolts so you can just screw it right on!
What I do with these type of things is put on two nuts and on the top nut I drill through the nut and put a cotter pin in it so it can't spin the nuts off.
