Front wheels not engaging

My SOF is messed up. The transfer cases shifts but the front end does not engage. Any suggestions? It is pretty embarrasing to be pulled out by a chevy.

Check the vacuum soleniods at the firewall on the passenger side, the lines to the shift fork at the front diff.... lastly, the shift fork free play. It seems the design fails at the shift fork.

Glad to hear the problem is fixed.

It just seemed for a while everyone was having shift fork problems, hence my comment.

4x4 fix up

took my truck to the dealer last week, they replaced a solenoid and the ''actuators'' or whatever they are , on both sides . 4x4 workes great now,but i have a strange wisseling sound sometimes at certain rpm's.I think it may be only in extreme cold,im not sure yet because its only been extreme cold out for the last while lol.( o by the way my 4x4 fix up job cost me $550.00.)

I have a 2000 4x4, turn the switch to 4x4 light comes on and you hear a click in the dash area, and alittle nose it seems under the truck from that motor thingy by the transfer case area.

Could it be the solenoids by the firewall or the fork thingy by the transfer case? Worked great last winter.
Thanks
Matt
