Side Mirror Upgrade
I have an 05 Screw FX4 and it has the standard power side mirrors, i was looking to upgrade to the ones with the built in turn signal. does anyone know if the wiring is the same for the different type of mirrors?

I have an 06 Expedition and I was wanting to do the same since I destroyed the drivers side mirror today when it caught the garage while backing out. I was looking on ebay and saw all the signal mirror and was curious how hard it is- Plug and play? some assembly required? more trouble than its worth?

it looks like you would have to run a separate wire for the signal to work or get another loom from mirror to switch.
I just looked at loom, and there is no listing stating w or w/o signal for loom
so you might get lucking and the wire will be in loom, as long as you have power mirror's now it might just work. you have the part numbers now for the different kits, you can check my web site for price. Hope this helps a little.

I upgraded my mirrors to those telescopic mirrors. My truck did already have the poewr/signal and heat but what it didn't have that those mirrors have is running lights. I had to pull one wire into the cab and wire it to the running light circuit. I slipped the wire through the side of the connector-power feed in the door jam. I ran it through the botton so it's out a sight.

on the 2006 king ranch they upgraded the mirrors with the power folding. I read this in the king ranches brochure. I'm not sure of the part #.
The telescopic mirrors do come with the chrome covers on them without having to buy them separate. These are the ones I bought OEM part #4L3Z-17696-DB They are around $600 at the dealer. I got mine on ebay for $325.
