That sounds like a casing number. Any other numbers on the carb itself? for instance my carb has a caseing number for each section. Top / middle / bottom.

I was hoping the carb still had the part number tag on it. IE: (E1TE GC) or (D5TE DA) something simular to those examples.

Mil1ion may be able to do something with the 7022 number though.

Well Carter Carb 7022 takes carb kit CT-842A

The book says:
Carb Kit CT-842A relates to a 1bbl Carb....68-78 Ford truck.

I suspect it also applies to 80's 1 bbl carbs

Is this truck an automatic or standard?

49 state or Calif ?

Posting all the info you can about the truck would have really helped at the start.

Because of me looking in your profile.

This truck is a 1984 F150 4x2 with a 300 1 bbl with ? trans

EDIT #4:

Carb 7022 applies to a 1968-1975 ....170,240,300 Ford Truck (Incl. Econoline)

There are 144 applications of this carb in regards to change-up's, etc

85 of which are Carter Numbers
the rest 59 being Ford numbers

So you want a vacuum diagram for a 75 300 to work with an 84 truck ?

so you were saying earlier about the carb thermostat...the wire comes from the alternator to the connector? Ive been looking for this information since I found out my truck had electric choke...

btw, if it had electric choke, does it have to have it? The previous owner i guess lost the cap or just took it off. The gadget on the inside was broke so he put a zip-tie and a screw on there. The gate was wide open...I borrowed the cap off my dads 78 bronco and the gadget off another carb just like mine.

(i guess it would be easier to have the electric choke back on there...i dont know how to adjust the fuel mixture.)
