I really dont think it is worth posting a classified ad for so here goes. I need (1) of the metal retuclanuar covers that appear to be behind the fenders on a 1966 Ford pickup and also on the cowl. There are (2) covers needed for each side and (1) on the cowl. Someone took the cowl one off my truck and I guess I could remove the one under the fender (since they are off already) and use it for the cowl but then how should I cover the fender hole up? duct tape?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Jan-03 AT 03:18 PM (EST)]Go to the hardware store and get a piece of tin. Cut it to size then screw it on. Quick and simple. Oh and don't forget to apply some type of sealant to keep out any gases. I know it isn't very stock but the tin will last a lot longer then the duct tape. Besides like you said who is going to look behind there? Well maybe one of us nit pickers but each truck should be as individual as the owner.
I forget the proper name but it's basicly plumbers putty. THats what I used on my 63 Bonneville and I plan to use the same on this truck.
Roll it into a snake like string, press onto back of plate, screw tight and remove the excess. The stuff never dries out.
