Engine cowl?
I had a crazy( on the verge of looney) idea that I could remove the front fenders, grill and hood, and replace them with a one-piece cowl that would be hinged at the front bumper and tilt forward and away from the cab. It would be like the engine cover on most big trucks. When you want to service or inspect a big rig engine, you grab the front of the cowl and tilt it up to expose the suspension and engine. I think it is a great idea, but am totally clueless about how to go about it. I wonder how many things I would have to reposition?Probably, wires to the front lights, tire iron and jack, and various stuff that is bolted to the inside fender or wheel well.
