Well since I can't get a bigger clutch without spending all the money I don't have I'm just putting a new disc and pressure plate in to keep me rolling while I save up. How much can I expect to pay for a C6, new used rebuildable what ever. It has to fit a 302. I'll end up with a 4spd O/D toploader available when I convert so if anybody wants dibbs let me know.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-11-03 AT 03:51 PM (EST)]contact me. I have the rebuilt w/shift kit C6 that I removed when the AOD went in.
OOPs, forgot you were in California. Had it in my head you were in Indiana. I need some sleep...........
Sorry guys I'm in San Diego and I'm just window shopping at this point. I figure I'll get maybe a year out of the 10" clutch if I refrane from hauling heavy loads, towing, or smoky burnouts
I think your plan to fix and drive what you have while saving up for improvements is excellent. A lower gear will help with towing chores more than a automatic transmission. If you wait, you may find a real deal on all the parts you will need for this conversion, have patience.
