He was orginally asking $2000 for it, I called him last night and asked what he would take for it and he said his bottom dollar is $1750, I offered him $1500 for it and he wanted see if he could get a better offer, think I'll let him sweat it for awhile and then offer him $1700 for it monday. Now I just gotta find a way to get it home lol. It's at 125th st n and meridian (Harvey county). I think it will fit on clint's trailer but I won't be able to "balance" it any, all the wieght will be on the front of the trailer. Might have to borrow the shop 1 ton, but it's got short rubber and 4.56's so it's not well suited for interstate travel lol. Besides it's a cheby and I don't know if I'll make it back lol
The truck sounds like a screaming deal. The only big gotcha would be if the engine was shot, and that doesn't sound like the case. Good luck on it Duane. Once you have the diesel you will be spoiled when it comes to towing stuff.
Duane If you didn't want to fool with a trailer, my tow bar would work, and I have lights if you need them. I have about 4 vehicles and 2,000 miles towed with it and not one problem. If you need it sooner then next Sunday I can tell you where it is... (near the apartment)...or when I get back I can provide a good tow rope and a mediocre driver :-) ...
It will be a couple weeks before I can get it, I thought about a tow bar but it would have to be beefy (6500# truck) and what would I pull it with and more important what would I stop it with lol.
My tow bar is pretty beefy - (hey baby wanna see a beefy tow bar?) :-) You can look at it and decide... You can borrow my truck if you want. Or maybe I'll tag along. My truck probably weighs just under 6,000. It will be a little longer to stop, but those dang 300 sixes pull like there is no tomorrow. (of course there is no replacement for displacement) If that's not good enough my sister has an f250 with a v10 or dad's 3/4 ton - just need a little notice to go steal one.
It's not like you are going cross country... just what 10-20 miles?
Anyhoo let me know...
I think Clint has secured a truck and I measured it the other day and it will fit on Clints trailer and leave about 3' to "balance" it. If plans change I will definetly let you know
It's a 1994 F-350, DRW, crew cab, 2wd, POWERSTOKE!!!!! 5spd. As of now it does not run but I'm 99% sure I know what it is and as soon as I get it to the shop i will get it running!!!
It needs a little TLC, the bed is pretty rough and of course one of the fenders is cracked. The interior is in pretty good shape other than needs a good cleaning. None the less I am reather proud of her!!!
