Plugged rad?

Top hose is hot, gauge reads hot, bottom hose is almost cold...plugged rad?

Coolant flows from the thermostat, through the top hose, through the radiator, and out the bottom hose. If the stat is bad, there may still be enough heat to make the top hose "hot". Go with a thermostat first, you'll want a new one regardless.
