twin throttle body
twin throttle body
Well I have a question reguarding the twin throttle bodies??? I Hve a ford f-150 and i would like to know if there is some way that i could switch to a single bigger throttle body....Are there any aftermarket brands that are bolt-ons??? thanks...
This question is probably better off in one of the other forums.
However, I can give you my two cents on this. The problem of changing the throttle body is that it needs to match up with the upper manifold. I don't believe there any after market throttle bodies that make this type of conversion you are looking for. What may people typically do is change over from a truck uppper manifold to a mustang upper manifold and then they can use a single barrel throttle body. You will have to make adjustments to the throttle cable as the location is changed.
In order to give you more specifics on the conversion it would be helpful to know the year and engine size of your truck. But before that, is there a specific reason for wanting to do this? Simply changing the throttle body is not going to make any signifigant changes to engine performance.
