This weekend I'm going to be re-painting my front bumper. I need to know what color it is as I would like it to match OEM specs. Its a light grey color I know that not great help but if its a Ford specific grey color then please let me know.
Sometimes you can look it up on ebay, people are sometimes selling paint chips on there so you can computer match it to the paint you want on your classic ride, there might be some ford grey paint names in their descriptions.
If that dosen't work, try going to wal-mart and looking in their paint section at those little cans of touch-up or those small cans of automotive spray paint (about the size of a 12oz can of pop) those have the ford paint names on them. (I am assuming that you can look at the same paint at an auto parts store, i've just never had the need to do so).
what kind of truck do you have...what year, etc.? could it be an aftermarket bumper that someone painted chrome and the chrome wore off revealing gray?

Its propably stock...the 92-96 XLs came with a painted grey bumper. I think it might be called "argent", but I'm not sure. I had this same bumper with rust so I sanded it and painted it body color. Looks MUCH better. Pics in my gallery.
FWIW.. and the OP may not be interested in doing this, but the factory chrome bumpers last way better than the painted version. I recently swapped the painted bumper on the little Ranger work truck we just picked up, for a scrap yard chrome version for about $100. All the painted bumpers in the scrap yard looked the same as the bumper I took off... Rusty!. The chrome bumper came off an Explorer of the same vintage and was mint. That vintage is 1990 BTW..
Yeah sorry its a 96' XL it is a greyish color. I tried finding a chrome but there were pricey and/or not in that great shape. I'll check Ebay like suggested.
