finally making progress

this past weekend i picked up another cab and bed for my truck. stuff is in real nice shape with the only rust being very minor where the seam sealer was applied to the front of the cab. not even pitted. the bed is also in mostly rust free condition with a few very minor dents. this weekend me and my buddies pulled the old cab and bed and tossed it in the yard. it's on ebay if anyone is interested. while the frame was bare, i wire wheeled everything from the front cab supports back and painted it with por15 inside and out. found my vin # on the passenger frame rail and i was relieved to see that everything matched. i've been broke for the past few years and finally got a good job and have some cash to burn. my goal is to have the cab on by sunday and the bed on next weekend. i will be using herculiner on the cab floor/firewall inside and out, and in the bed. if anyone knows more about this product than me and can come up with a reason not to, i'm open to alternatives. i'll get some pictures posted in my gallery next week if anyone wants to check it out. i'm giddy like a school girl at the thought of having my truck back!

Looks like your truck shaping up, and you got the right attitude. You got some good ideas.

Just replace any bolts or nuts which seem rusted or worn. Replace those cab bushing also.

Remember the prep work will take the longest and will require much elbow grease.
