Need some 4X4 info
on a 2000 F250 superduty cc 4x4 7.3 diesel
What is the stock differential ratio on the diesel?
What is the length of the front driveshat (Front Diff to transfer case) The length is to mesured on the tube part.
Reason for asking, I'm buyinig another wrecked f250 to fix for a work truck and I am having to replace the front differential and find a front drive shaft. The parts dealer asked these specs. I would look for the door jam code for the diff but the sticker has been painted over.

The salvage truck I'm getting with a busted tranny casing has a "Ford Racing Performance parts oil pan" is it worth trying to put this on the new tranny I'm getting? No visible damage to the old tranny other than the bell housing seemed to be chiped away around the bottom, Any ideas on how the torque converter faired?

2000 F-350 extended cab dually, D50 front axle.
Overall length of assembly from transfer case adapter plate to the center of the pinion u-joint- 40" (3'4")
length from second u joint in double cardon joint (one closest to front axle, attached to the tube) to the pinion joint- 34" (2'10")-- this is the length of the tube, end u-joint to end u-joint.
