Trop Artic?

Hey All, I just bought a new 2006 and was wondering if anyone uses 5W20 Trop artic in their trucks? I was reading up on it and it is now synthetic blend and cheap enough($1.39 per quart) at Atwoods. I know Conoco makes ford motor oils and now that Conoco and phillips have merged I have a feeling the trop artic may be the same oils as Conco and ford oil. It sounds like really good oil, anyone have any opinions? Thanks.

I currently have it in my Triton on personal test. Per Phillips tech, it is 60% Gp III which would make it by far the most "synthetic" of the blends including Havoline, Pennzoil, Castrol, etc.The basestock is from their Korean plant that makes a good but cheap Gp III. It has a decent add package so it should perform function as good as any. I'll know in about 2 months. I will be running this oil to 7500 miles unless I get rid of the truck and then I will change early to see the results. Per paper specs, it should hold up just fine but I also haven't seen any other independent test data. Your mileage may vary.

Trop Artic is a quality dino oil, and you should have excellent engine performance with this oil (5w20).
Use it, and sleep well at night...
