I'm about to do some work on my church's 96 15 Pass Clubwagon XLT so we can take it to Colorado. What engine does it most likely have? (it's the original) I'm sure from looking at it that it's not a 460 but I'm not enough of a Ford guy to know what it is, or even what it could be. If it's a V8 but not a 460 is the only other possibility a 351?
Also, where is the fuel pump inertia switch reset button?
Thirdly, are there any problem areas in 96s that I should be looking at?
Check the emissions sticker under the hood. It will tell you what engine it has. I think the standard engine in a '96 15 passenger will be a 351 but it could also be a 6.8 liter V10. '96 was the first year for the V10 which replaced the 460.
The emissions sticker is gone. It's not a V10. What I don't know is if it could possibly be a 5.0L If the possibilities are just V10, 5.8L (351), and 6 cyl, then I know what I've got. Is there an easy way to tell the difference between the 5.0 and the 5.8?
Thanks for your help.
