When I got my 54 I immediatly scored a 55 grill and lower valance and then while waiting for a friend to bring me some 55 parking lights I was sitting in front of the truck one evening with a cold one in hand and looking at the grill. The 54 front end was flawless and the 55 stuff needed some messaging and bondo here and there. About four beers into this train of thought I named the one ton Walley ( as in walrus, Woody Woodpecker's buddy ) and then got rid of the 55 stuff. Tom
The 54 does grow on you; it looks quite homely in a pleasant way, similar to the 57 and 58 pickups. Saw one with the 54 grill chromed and it looked great.
i agree col the signal lights on the 57 58 are supreme wish i could so something to my 59 signal lights to improve them, and when i come to biulding your truck do what you want.
Like i said, Colonel, they DO grow on you!
