Would it be a "SIN"
I've got a 53 with no title and a 54 with one that I'm making into rod project. I really like the 53's grill and really dislike the 54's. Would it be a sin to use the 53??? How do you think that would be received out there in the F-100 world?

No, not in Singapore! They still have the lash there.
Previous discussion came to the conclusion (with 2 dissenters) that the 54 F100 is the ugliest grill ever made.

My favorite grill for the fat fenders was the 55. I have a 56 F100 and almost put a 55 grill in it, but I had a perfect chrome 56 grill so my good sense prevailed and I used it.

Go for it. I have a 56 grill in my 55 panel and that panel's grill is in a 54 I sold to Jomes. Of course you know you will have to change that lower center valance because the 54 has those 2 fang hole cutouts.
In case you wonder why I put a 56 grill in where a perfect 55 grill was, it's only because I like the frenched headlight look of the 56 grills. I guess I could have bought one of those kits and converted my 55 over.
...Except for the headlights, I like the 55 grill best of all also.

Your swap to 53 will be easier than mine. I installed a 56 grill, so I had to change out the air dams behind the headlights as well. You'll only need to change out the lower valance. Lots of people have changed out the 54 grill.
