i would NOT take my experience as gospel. if you are going to go this route, then you should do your homework and find out what is best for your truck and application and cooridnate with all vendors.
i think though, that as far as vendors go, they have worked with each other enough on customers trucks that they pretty well know what each other is doing or needing and what to ask-tell each other.
i do not think at these hp settings, that the valveing in the VB changes much for either application, but the hole sizes in the transgo seperator plate are more critical.
i talked with both brian and jody about what i wanted to do with my truck, and my expectation and asked both what was their suggestion.
iirc- brian said get directions from jody. jody told me to tell brian to build for PMT-1 and 60 hp, no line pressure changes in the 40hp, and "just a touch in the 80hp." what this all means, i could not tell you. in fact, i wished i could have 3-way called them both at the same time to eliminate any confusion.
