converter lockup pics needed
There are four banks of weatherpacks. The one closest the the front of the truck is the one you are looking for. Now the second row of wire from the top, second wire in is the lockup on my truck (00').
Well, it's hard to see. Ignore the other wires and connectors in the photo. I put a switch in-dash and I can cancel the computers control when I want. When I turn it off, it just goes back to normal. The circuit is a tap/overide so the computer see's that there is nothing wrong until you ground the converter. You will get a TCC solenoid failure code, but it will not cause any issues. Had this set up for a while.
Just make sure that it is the second wire in and second row from the top. You may want to test this connection first as some years put the TCC in different places.

once you are sure you have the right wire tapped, hit the switch to lock up the torque converter in PARK (not in gear...!!!). if you have the right wire the LED (if you have one) will come on and you will hear a distinct rattling/scratching sound, it is the TC locked up.
