Question BII tranny problems

Ok i have a 89 BII 2.9 and A4LD transmission...

The problem I am having is that after i rebuilt my engine is keep blowing trandmission cooling lines... I have an aftermarket cooler and it keeps blowing the rubber lines.. I can drive it around town and it seems fine(little town less than 1500 people).. But when i go to the city i keep blowing these hoses.. so it only seems to do it when i'm going at highway speeds(60-70).. i know alot about engines but transmissions are just not my thing, so as paying an arm and a leg to get it fixed.. i can do some good figuring out with stuff it's just that i'm lost with this one..

Any info would help!!!!!!

That's weird but could it be a clogged cooling unit? I'm no trans expert either and I'd think the pressure would rise at higher speeds but not enough to blow a hose. If the cooling system is clear of obstruction I can't see why it would do that. Are the hose high pressure or just pain rubber? I think I'd want to check for a clear system first.
I had an AL4D rebuilt recently and they flushed the cooling system also to make sure it was clear (that's what makes me think this).

i thought that too but i took the top cooling line off the radiator and used compressed air is it and when i blow through it holds pressure till i take the air blow gun off of it and when i blow into the cooler side of the top line it blows fluid out the top line itself.. if i use to much pressure it blows fluid out the fill tube?????

yes it's regular 300psi rubber fuel hose....

Might want to try a transmission flush and fluid/filter change. Seems like the fluid is pumping, though? Weird.

You may have the cooler lines on backward.

The fluid needs to pump up into the bottom of the cooler and out of the top and back to the transmission.

If you pump into the top of the cooler there is a chance for an air lock, which will not let fluid through, causing pressure to build up and the trans to run hot.

I bought a truck with an Allison transmission that had been hooked up backward. The rebuilt trans had over heated and went bad shortly after replacement.
