Mine is a daily driver. Its a 65 f100, 352, cruise o matic, stock everywhere else too.
At the moment it has a side by side fridge on it that im moving for someone. They forgot the key to their storage building, so I just left it back there on the bed, and brought it home..lol
Im also in the middle of buffing it out when not in a lazy day (which I have a lot of those)\

Good to see another NB member...I'm down in St. Stephen myself. As for a daily driver I use my 66 F250 almost daily in the summertime though I do take it off the road for the winter season. I just purchased a 64 F250 to use as a wintertime daily driver and while i hate to put it through all the salt and crap I just love driving these old trucks too much. My 66 has been excellent as a fair weather daily driver, I even go to Halifax from time to time and the only trouble I have is replacing the cash in my wallet than I spend on fuel...i'd say drive yours..
throw me in the use it as a daily driver, and purchase a cheap car for the long trips and salty roads. I drive my unibody everywhere, but in hot windy conitions I would compare long trips to riding in a dryer for four hours. Driving it around town you wont beleive how many people admire and relate to these old trucks.
I hope you have as much fun in your truck as I do in mine.
I drive mine daily until the snow hits - gotta keep it out of the salt. Might I suggest using it as your daily driver and when you need to make those few long trips, renting a car for the time. Might be cheaper than buying a second vehicle you have to keep plates and insurance on.
I drive my '63 uni every day it isn't raining, after 6 rounds with the windshield wipers i still can't depend on them to do anything but stick.
every day from spring to fall, that has no snow on the ground I mean.
Slicks and salt don't mix. even a little bit of salt. I would NEVER drive that thing in salt.
I drive my Slick in the hottest weather, all summer and it's BLACK!
my car, an air conditioned Acura, gets 38-40 MPG and has a great sound system and cruise control
The silck doesnt have a radio that works and gets 15 MPG... i just can't resist the sound of a V8 Ford thru dual pipes

Well, my original intentions with the truck was to drive it all year round and getting rid of a vehicle, but a lot of you guys have said to not drive it in the winter. Anyways, i think it makes a lot of sense. Don't want to ruin the truck that i'm putting hours and a lot of money into! I think i'll try to find a little diesel truck or car, early '80's, in the mean time.
I drive my 66 F100 / 352 / C6 year round. they have salt up hear in the winter but the original owner had undercoated the truck back in the 60's. so far so good. I have pw steering, pw disk brakes and the automatic. in the winter I put 700lbs of sandbags over the rear wheels and run studed snow tires. Get NEW snow tires, these trucks need all the traction thay can get in the snow. While the gas milage sucks I enjoy driving my slick more than any vec I have owned sence that 68 mustang I bought when I was in the service. ( I think the write bro's had just invented the airplane then. ) and it is true you constantly get people coming up to you at the station and commenting about your truck. I was paying for gas last week and two guys were talking about their trucks at the counter. One was saying he had bought his and got pretty god gas milage, I said mine doesnt get great milage but it has pretty good horsepower. I paid and in a couple of min he came outside. I started her up and He said. Wow I didnt know you were driving a classic!!!!
