just curious how many of you ford truck owners garage your trucks during the winter...im not talking about if you garage it because there is no need for it other than towing during the summer...i mean for everyone who does have snowy winter....you garage it because you dont want to expose it to the salt...
I try not to drive the truck in the salt covered roads in the winter. My truck is 4x2 and I intend to keep it for a very very long time (will be a first for me longest for me is 4 years). I drive my beater 1987 Toyota Tercel in the winter which are very mild here on MD's eastern shore.
thank you...another friend of mine owns a 2005 f150 2x4 and he said that he doesnt want to drive in during the winter because it will loose its value because of the salt damage...yeah i cant stand hanging out with him because he is so **** that he has 3 layers of ruggs under his floor mats and two layers of sheets on top of his seats that slready have seat covers...cmon its only a truck
Geez. One of the reasons I own a 4wd truck is so I can drive it in the winter. Like someone said-it's only a truck. If it rusts out several years from now I'll buy a new and better one!

You are kidding right? In icy stuff, I'll sometimes drive my older 7.3 not because I'm worried about salt or cold, more worried about some goof sliding into me.
It's not beyond me to sink mine in the mud getting into and out of a job site.
You get a dodge when you get really old and can barley drive anymore. Cause dodge is a warning label for other drivers to be carfull. (I make fun of my ford too such as "F''''N FORD")
I use mine about once a week and so far in almost 5 years I only have 37100 miles on it. I don't garage it and drive it on the snow and salt covered roads too. The trick is to work somewhere that you can take a company vehicle home every night.
no im not kidding ... around here in ohio i guess its the thing to do ...buy trucks...put tvs and dvd players in them ...put every ding and whistle on it and dont even use it...stupid if you ask me...or some people just have that much money
up here in wisconsin you will see some of the most rusted trucks there are. we have salt on our roads all winter long. people buy trucks for the winter so their cars dont get stuck. mine is a 2000 psd 4x4 with over 200,000 miles on it. it is never inside because i cant fit it in the garage. i have not seen a dodge yet with that many miles without holes rusted through it. just shows how much better fords are!! plus its fun doing doughnuts in the snow
