I picked up my 06' F-350, PSD on 1/6/06, dealer installed a Fisher MM, plow frame on it so I could hook up to my own 9' Fisher plow,,,my F-350 is a worker,,never garaged (someday I will have one), have 3 different trailer's to pull, tools in the back,,think It was plowing for the first time at around 500 miles,,got almost 9 k on it already,,,love the turbo whistle at about 1,400 rpm !
FORD's are for working,,clean em up,,and then for show,,,best of both worlds !

My truck stays outside, but I will wash the undercarriage of the truck after salt has been put down on the roads. I have a drain in my garage for when it gets down in the lower temps. Never had that problem in Alaska, they use sand. I am living in Utah for the next few years, so I will be dealing with the salt issue.

Salt and sand on the roads all winter here in Terrace B.C. Canada.
I put on the studded/skinny winter tires beginning of november untill end of april.
Hit it good with the pressure washer at the local car wash once or twice a week and it's good.
BTW we need a plow truck driving smilie
