Aftermarket 2002 Cubby Hole AUX Switch ?
Does anyone know of an aftermarket aux switch bank made specifically for the 2002 era Super Duty dashboard cubby hole?
I can't seem to find one. They have to be out there, right? I mean, a gazillion of these trucks are being used for work ...... police, fire, security, utility, plow, repair, even frigging Italian Ice trucks!
There has to be some out there that fits right into the dashboard cubby, with a harness with relays in it, and a cable to the truck battery for power, etc. No?
Thanks

rwilimo ......
Thanks for the info, and a great job on your instructions. So good, I see you let that guy on ebay use them.
Small world ..... I live in Rockaway, NJ ..... and for many years I've bought stuff at Meltzer's Sporting Goods on Outwater Lane in Garfield.
I'm definately going to get the upfitter switch now that I have seen what you've done. I was going to run a cable from the trucks battery to a new, small fuse box, etc ..... but now I don't know, maybe I'll use the truck's fuse box like you did.
What did you use to hold the little piece of lexan in place?
If I just bought the switch bank, would it be hard to access the wires in it (if I wanted to use my own relays and power supply, etc)? Or does the harness plug into the switch bank?
Thanks

Even smaller, my business is located on River drive.

I don't know if you are aware that the upfitter harness has a it's own relay box that gets mounted behind the glove box, I only tapped to the oem box for power.

Believe it or not it is just pressed in there. The back is slightly angled and it just pressed in and stayed. It actually surprised me.

The harness just plugs in, for the price of the Ford harness I don't think that you can beat it. I custom fabricate harness's all the time and have all the supplies on hand, but this was just to cheap and easy to pass up.
