natural high
i'm wondering how many guys and gals have had a natural high by just going out and haveing a good time.
5 buddies and i used to have a local bar band . mostly playing old and country rock music. we got up he brass to get every one back together and try playing a open bar jamb night. we are the types who just like to jamb and have a good time. after stopping playing 15 years ago.
well we did it got out all the old dusty gear. banjos. a fiddle , flute and 12 different getars from amongst us . we played almost last , had a hip hip group try and heard them booed right out, another played old 60 and 70's rock ok the bar people liked them just claped and danced some . another played some ozzie music .ok they liked them. another played some heavy, ok they like them also.
then we started setting up when the bar saw my horizintal steel going up it was like oboy. a different sound in the bar. we started with a steve miller . some allman brothers. some skynrd . last we played songs from marshall tucker . the bar went ape . swinging and danceing away. time for the next band to do their thing.they came up and said would you 6 please keep playing. even joined us playing. they where also good. we stayed till closeing time playing away. mind it we have not done a gig in 15 years. just getting together just back deck liveing room .have fun. i have not played my steels in years. and just started again with my 1970 blondie
these people just loved country rock and could not get enough of it. we've
even been asked to come back for a we'll pay you night. we're just a bunch of old farts enjoying a good time together. don't want to go back tp playing every week end.
i'm still up in the air on this high. better then 3 days at wood stock in 69. any one else have this happen? no drugs no booze just life.

country rock and steel just always go together making a grand sound.
just this group of patrons was so grand to make it such a thrill and the last band joining us to make 11 people playing plus one of the ladie patrons got up and sang a few songs, and could she sing. hot to
i think it's how every one enjoyed the night that made it so unreal. getars from gibson, ,fender, my magnum pedal steel. a banjo, a fiddle .flute.drums . we had a ball and for a old fart like me it as dejavo.

still laid up the next operation is just around the conner this month.
just the people liked the sound . were great, the last band joined us and made it even better, the patrons joining in. foot stomping. singing with the singers, claping, danceing thats whats so special about it.
also when you play steel you can stand or sit i sat all night mostly with the 10 string pedal steel and they are country rocks back bone in grand sound . nothing like it.

Well, from one musician to another I say RAWK ON!
I was a 90's grunger when I was younger, but now we play delta blues. Git yer groove on brotha! Nothin better than going off on an impromptu solo and feellin the crowd rollin' with ya!
My rig: gibson SG > crybaby > peavy 2x12. don't need nothin else. ha ha.
