Smile Back-up/reverse lights not working

I have a '87 B2 2.9L with 5 speed tranny. I have all the lights working except the reverse won't come on. They are new bulbs. Is there a switch or a connection that may be unplugged or malfunctioning?

Yes, there is a backup light (reverse) switch on the transmission that may be bad or the wiring harness may have come unplugged from the switch. Also, not sure if it feeds anything else, but there is also a fuse in the fuse block for them that could be bad as well. Check both. You shouldn't have any ground issues, I don't think. Hope this helps.

Do you or anyone know where this switch is located on the transmission?

Nice link from kernal-panic.

Turn signals & backup lights are wired to the same fuse, so if turn sigs are working the fuse is OK.

Thanks. Although, there were three pics on the page, two for 2wd (?) and one for 4wd. I couldn't remember what other circuit the back-up lights were wired in with.
